Skype Lite and Skype for Windows Phones are no longer available for download because “neither...offered a great Skype experience.”

Users need not worry, though, because Skype is not disabling these apps.

The company says it can work with mobile operators to address the limitations of these apps and make them work well.

Those who are looking for an alternative should try Skype for Symbian or grab a Skype To Go number to make great value calls to phones abroad.
