Smartphones reach 40% of SE Asia: AdMob

Smartphone penetration reached 40% across Southeast Asia in fourth quarter of 2009, according to AdMob's January 2010 Mobile Metrics Report.

Singapore had the highest smartphone penetration at 77% and Vietnam had the lowest at 22%.

The report finds that smartphone penetration is increasing rapidly across the Region, with Nokia and Apple leading in different countries.
