StarHub has partnered with Telekom Malaysia to extend its international Ethernet private line (IEPL) service into Malaysia, which means that businesses in Singapore can deploy high-quality data, IP and voice/VoIP solutions into Malaysia using StarHub's scalable and secured international Ethernet connection.
The IEPL service uses Ethernet over synchronous digital hierarchy (EoSDH) technology to securely transfer data from Singapore to overseas points of presence and then deliver to the end-customer through the respective local carrier's EoSDH network.
The solution is more cost effective as it offers far greater scalability than traditional international private leased circuit services, with the same service-level guarantees.
