ECI Telecom said Russian operator Synterra CJSC is deploying its XDM-3000, a new high-capacity MSPP (multi-service provisioning platform).

Deployment of ECI’s XDM-3000 is meant to address growing customer demand for capacity-intensive, carrier-class infrastructure solutions that can simultaneously handle both Ethernet and TDM-based services.

Synterra will use the platform to upgrade its core backbone infrastructure nodes in several cities across Russia to improve network performance and more efficient routing of traffic with high network fault tolerance.

The introduction of the XDM-3000 is expected to allow “Synterra” to optimize and modernize its network with savings of more than 30%.
