Telecom Career: Globe hires consumer advisor

Globe Telecom names ex-Vodafone exec to improve consumer business

Philippine operator Globe Telecom has appointed Daniel James Horan as its new senior advisor for the consumer business group.

In a statement Globe said Horan will support the telco’s consumer business group in an advisory capacity.

Horan replaces Peter George Bithos, who will take on an expanded advisory role as chief operating advisor, looking after the core consumer business as well as the new emerging lines of businesses in and around the consumer space.

Prior to joining Globe, Horan was chief marketing officer at PT Axis in Indonesia, chief commercial officer at Vodafone Qatar, and consumer marketing director at Vodafone Hungary.

Adam Judd joins Brocade as VP for APAC

Brocadehas appointed networking industry veteran Adam Judd as vice president for Asia Pacific. He will be responsible for the strategic direction and management of all sales and business development across the region.

Based in Singapore, Judd will report directly to senior vice president of worldwide sales and field operations, Jeff Lindholm.

Judd comes to Brocade from Tortuga Mobile, where he served most recently as the acting CEO and chairman of the private-held mobile payment supplier.

Prior to Tortuga Mobile, Judd was SVP for APAC at Juniper Networks, where he led the company’s sales and services operations in more than 12 countries, including Jap
