Telecom Career: SingTel promotes Bill Chang to Group ICT CEO

SingTel names Bill Chang Group ICT chief

SingTel has promoted Bill Chang to Group ICT CEO, responsible for the company’s enterprise business.

Chang joined SingTel in 2005 as EVP of corporate business, responsible for extending SingTel’s lead in the enterprise customer segment. Most recently he was MD of business group under Group ICT.

His promotion follows a SingTel restructure in March, which saw the creation of three customers units in March, took effective in April.

In addition to Group ICT, the Group Consumer and Group Digital Life units are led Paul O’Sullivan and Allen Lew, respectively. All three CEOs report to Group CEO, Chua Sock Koong.

Cisco appoints APJC leader

Cisco Systems has appointed Jaime Vallés to lead the company’s operations in Asia Pacific, Japan and Greater China (APJC).

He takes over from Edzard Overbeek, who was recently appointed head of Cisco’s Global Services business.

Owen Chan will remain chairman and CEO of Cisco’s Greater China.

Vallés joined Cisco in 2007 and was most recently SVP of Cisco’s Latin America.
