Telenor will deploy next-generation OSS systems developed by Telecordia on its domestic mobile broadband architecture.

Telecordia's solutions will support Telenor's entire mobile broadband services infrastructure in Norway, as well as the replacement of its existing equipment. This includes 2G, 3G and LTE technologies.

Telenor has since November been committed to fully replacing its entire mobile broadband services infrastructure in Norway. The replacement equipment will be provided by Huawei and Starent.

“The potential of mobile broadband can only be fully realized if supporting systems and processes can manage the increased complexity,” Telecordia CEO Mark Greenquist said.
