Tellabs unveils new switching series

Tellabs has unveiled its Tellabs 7300 Metro Ethernet Switching series, which are touted to extend the company's flexible services all the way to end- users.

The new series enables operators to build scalable networks to easily deliver Carrier Ethernet services for business Ethernet access, carrier infrastructure projects like DSLAM aggregation and wireless backhaul applications.

Dan Kelly, executive vice president of global products for Tellabs, said the Tellabs 7300 series addresses market needs for Carrier Ethernet service offerings in business, consumer and wireless applications.

"Operators encounter enough challenges as it is," Kelly said. "Our offering enables them to increase service resiliency and simplify operations for optimized, profitable service delivery."
