Telstra Global has expanded its global hosting capabilities with a new data center in Singapore.

Telstra Global said the new Singapore facility, its sixth in the region, will provide financial, media and technology enterprises with a ‘connected’ colocation service with a range of network connectivity options.

The facility will allow Telstra Global to offer customers disaster recovery capabilities, with Telstra Global providing secure, low latency connectivity options between the new Singapore data center and its existing facilities in Hong Kong, the Philippines, Australia, New Zealand and UK.

It will also form the hub for other hosting services and cloud-based solutions, and will provide access through Telstra Global’s Asian network to the rest of the world, Telstra Global added.

Telstra Global said it now operates data centers in six countries with approximately 14,000 square meters of data center space globally.

It has over 1,400 points of presence in more than 230 countries and territories.
