It's been a busy week for internationally-facing telcos, with Telstra Global, Tata Communications and Vodafone all announcing major enterprise deals.

Telstra Global announced an extension of its deal with Arup, the professional services firm that helped design projects including the Sydney Opera House and the Beijing Olympic stadium.

The extended deal will see Telstra Global provide international connectivity to Arup in around 20 markets, including markets in Asia, Africa and Europe.

Meanwhile, Tata Communications revealed it has partnered with Formula One racing team Mercedes AMG Petronas to provide trackside connectivity to the squad.

Mercedes AMG Petronas will use Tata Comm's global network TGN to transfer real-time data from its cars to its headquarters in the UK.

Tata Comm last year won a multi-year contract to provide connectivity as well as hosting and content delivery services to Formula One Management.

Vodafone separately picked up an expanded contract to provide enterprise mobile services to German industrial conglomerate ThyssenKrupp in 30 countries, including 13 in APAC.

This deal covers the provision of around 60,000 mobile voice and data connections – 16,000 in APAC – as well as 50,000 M2M cards, bound for industrial equipment including ThyssenKrupp's elevators and emergency intercom systems.
