Thaicom has signed an agreement of cooperation with The Nielsen Company (Thailand) in conducting a survey of the popularity of satellite TV channels and provide TV ratings for Thai customers on the Thaicom satellite.

The results of the survey will provide benefits to both Thaicom’s C-band and Ku-band customers alike and will provide valuable information for the customers in order to formulate their sales and marketing strategies.

The TV rating survey of TV channels on the Thaicom satellite will include, for example, average number of viewers for each minute of each channel (TVR), data ranking of the popularity of viewing and the number of viewers of all channels per day (Reach), among others.

"The company has been providing a satellite television broadcasting platform for nearly 20 years therefore we feel that it is important that we provide marketing intelligence that is relevant to our clients,” Dr. Nongluck Phinainitisart, president of Thaicom said.
