Toshiba's new Wireless USB dynadock is powered by Alereon's AL5000 wireless USB chipset.

When used in conjunction with a Toshiba PCIe ExpressCard34 or WUSB adapter, the docking solution can operate in WiMedia band groups one, three, and six, according to Alereon.

The solution, demonstrated at the recent WiMedia Open House in Seoul, South Korea meets regulatory requirements across the globe via simple software configuration.

The dynadock has video output that can connect workspace peripherals, including an external monitor.

It includes multiple USB slots, Ethernet support and supports bi-directional isochronous data transfers for video applications such as USB speakers, web cams and video cameras.
