A UK company has created the ultimate wee games console -- for gent’s toilets.
Captive Media ’s console mounts above the urinal and uses an infrared sensor to work out where a fella is aiming, and so control the game. The first unit is up and running in a London bar, offering a quiz game and skiing challenge, and users can upload their score to Twitter from their mobile phone.
The console is also used to display adverts, however, the business model centers on the venue where the kit is fitted. Bar owners are given space on the screen for promotions, and are given a veto over which third-party ads are shown.
So far there’s no data on whether sales of pints are higher at the first venue as wannabe gamers stock up on ‘credit’.
