Kyocera announced an updated USB-type modem for iBurst, its mobile broadband wireless access system.
The small-sized modem connects to the PC either via USB cable or directly to the USB port. Kyocera's product will see in August.
The model will be supplied to third-party suppliers' incorporating iBurst in products such as WiFi routers and VoIP equipment, Kyocera said.
Kyocera said iBurst is used to provide commercial services in at least ten countries. The technology generates high spectrum efficiency of 32 Mbps total throughput per base station over a 5MHz bandwidth.
