Pakistan's Warid Telecom has chosen Telcordia to provide it with a number portability solution that will allow its customers to easily switch providers sans the time and expense involved in changing phone numbers.
Telcordia's Number Portability Gateway is seen improving the cellco's competitive position by increasing the flow of porting requests and improving customer experience.
The gateway product enables service providers to efficiently add customers, boost revenue and realize operational efficiencies by automating the porting process and avoiding the cost typically associated with manual porting processes, Telcordia says.
