AirMagnet has announced a WiFi spectrum analysis solution combining its software with Intel's Centrino 2 processor technology.
The combined solution allows users to use the computer's standard internal wireless adapter to analyze the quality of the RF airwaves and easily see RF interference and problems in the WiFi spectrum.
Previously, customers had to use proprietary, single-use, external cards to identify RF interferences, according to AirMagnet.
Spectrum analyzers allow anyone to easily see the energy that is in the WiFi airwaves and quickly pinpoint RF problems that can rob a network of performance.
AirMagnet is demonstrating the solution at the Intel Developer Forum in San Francisco.
