At 20 kilograms, Fujitsu's BroadOne WX300 mobile Wimax base station occupies less space for easy installation.
Configured as a single, lightweight unit, the BroadOne WX300 is an outdoor macrocell base station is designed for wide-area transmission over a radius of several kilometers.
The unit's high-output transmitter (amp) uses a gallium-nitride (GaN) High Electron Mobility Transistor (HEMT) device based on ultra-high-speed transistor technology.
The device also features Fujitsu's digital pre-distortion technology to create two high-output transceivers packaged in a single unit.
The WX300 will be available within the second quarter of 2008.
