The Wimax Forum has announced 13 new certified mobile Wimax devices based on interoperability and standards compliance.
These include four base stations and nine subscriber stations from Alcatel-Lucent, GCT Semiconductors, Huawei, Motorola, NEC, POSDATA, Redline Communications, Samsung, Telsima and ZTE.
These products were certified on the 2.5GHz frequency and are the latest to get certified since June this year.
In addition, the Wimax Forum released a white paper focusing on the Wimax Forum certification program, which includes an outline of the testing process and a certification roadmap for Wimax products.
More than a dozen more products are currently undergoing certification testing to support more than 400 commercial Wimax deployments in 133 countries, the industry group said.
