Intrinsyc's Soleus version 1.50 software platform is designed for Windows Mobile media-centric handsets and personal navigation devices (PNDs).

Soleus version 1.50 enables device makers to build handsets that can support 3G/3.5G high-speed HSDPA and HSUPA data connections.

Intrinsyc said the software allows differentiation through customization of user-interfaces (UI) and applications.

Quanta Computer is expected to launch a Soleus-powered device later this year, the company said.

This latest version of Soleus can also be combined with Windows Embedded NavReady to provide an optimized solution for the development of connected PNDs.
