Wireless solution for transmitting ECG data

In Motion's onboard Mobile Gateway connects wirelessly via Bluetooth with Philips HeartStart MRx monitor/defibrillator.

This allows paramedics in the field to wirelessly send patient data to hospitals and caregivers without the use of cell phones, modems or expensive wireless adaptors.

Previously, ECG information was often transmitted using modems or cell phones that are less reliable, operate on a single network and are prone to loss and theft.

The onBoard Mobile Gateway supports multiple devices and applications simultaneously over any wireless network, automatically finding the most effective one available - whether cellular, 3G, 4.9GHz or 700 MHz - in order to send medical data from a moving emergency vehicle.
