2degrees, New Zealand’s newest mobile network, chose to use Xintec’s fraud management system FMSlite to detect fraud at multiple levels, including prepay fraud.

FMSlite is a transaction-based FMS that analyses both mobile and fixed line switch call records to detect fraudulent activity in near-real time.

2degrees was launched in August 2009 and gained over 206,000 subscribers in its first six months of operations.

The operator has built a 2G and 3G network and has over 50 roaming agreements with other mobile operators from around the world.
