We are steadily heading towards the championship window when it comes to the NBA Playoffs and we have seen some close series. The Celtics and the Heat are tied two each and that has become virtually the best of three scenarios. Meanwhile, in the Western Conference, the Golden State Warriors have extracted a three-nil lead, and they defeated the Mavericks 109:100 during the last match-up. With the season under line, can the Mavericks at least force a Game 5?

Best bets on Mavericks vs Warriors

Handicap: Bookmakers from 22bet give the Mavericks a favorable chance with odds of 1.86 but these odds are not overwhelming by any stretch. The Warriors have the odds of 1.94 and despite playing away from home, they are favored as they have won three in a row, one of them being the victory on the Mavs’ home floor. I believe the Mavs will at least force a Game 5 to be honest. (Handicap 1 -4.5 for 2.42)

Player Props: Bookmakers at bet365 predict odds of 1.83 for Dorian Finney-Smith going Over 10.5 Points(At least 11 Points). Dorian is not having the same offensive impact he has had in the last five games. He has scored 9, 10, 5 in this series so far and because of that, the Mavs offense has suffered at times. I believe he will finally breach the 10 points mark in this game (Player Props: Player Points: Dorian Finney-Smith Over 10.5 for 1.83)

Total: Bookmakers at 1xbet believe the Total of Over/Under for 215.5 has the equal odds of 1.97. The first three games have fetched 209, 243, and 199, which means that the matters have fallen below the above mark twice. The Mavericks have struggled massively on the offensive end but I believe they will do much better this time around. I see the total going “under” here again through. (Total Under 215.5 for 1.97)

Mavericks: What is up with their defense?

The Mavericks have not defended well so far and seems like the Warriors’ multiple playmaking options are now exposing their defensive discipline. Doncic and Brunson has been terrific in the backcourt, especially Doncic but on the offensive end, the frontline has been thoroughly exposed by the Warriors’ defense anchored by Draymond Green. The most irritating part for the Mavs is that Dinwiddie has found his groove and the bench has been a factor due to him, however, Kleber, Bullock, and Finney-Smith have not found their groove at all. The Mavs were making around 15 threes a game regularly in the last two series at a high percentage and although they did make 13 in the last game on just 29%. The Mavs also lost the battle of the boards, as the Warriors outrebounded them 47:33.

Warriors: Defense is amazing

The Warriors' defense has been terrific and they have not allowed the Mavs to make big runs except in the first half of Game 2. The biggest difference-maker has emerged in the form of Andrew Wiggins, who clipped 27 points but it is his defensive and rebounding activity that has made headlines. Curry hits one of these sweet scoring windows when we enter the Conference Finals and he is dipping 30 points on a high percentage routinely at this point. Klay Thompson hasn’t been efficient at all, shooting around 35% from the floor. Kevon Looney has been a huge factor in terms of rebounding and inside points, and he has outmatched the Mavs’ middle position. To be honest, except for the PG and SG positions, the Mavericks have looked outmatched, especially when it comes to the frontline. The Warriors keep finding different players with the spark time and time again throughout the Playoffs. Can they sweep the Mavs?
