Anthony Davis played for 31 minutes, but it was enough for the forward to record 26 points, 16 rebounds, and seven assists and lead the Dallas Mavericks to a victory over the high-flying Houston Rockets. A fellow new acquisition, Max Christie, who came from the Los Angeles Lakers, also added 23 points. Davis, who was making his Dallas Mavericks debut and had not played since January 28 because of an abdominal strain, left the court near the end of the third quarter and is now listed as out for several weeks due to an abductor strain. The Mavs (28-25, 8th in the West) may also be without P.J. Washington, who sprained his ankle, and Max Christie and Dante Exum, with a right shoulder strain and Achilles tightness, respectively.

Sacramento Kings
On Saturday evening, the Western Conference ninth-seed Sacramento Kings returned to winning ways with a 123-118 home victory over the New Orleans Pelicans. Domantas Sabonis scored his 46th double-double of the season with 27 points and 16 rebounds to lead the Kings. Newly acquired Zach LaVine, who joined from the Chicago Bulls, finished with 22 points. The two-time All-Star had his best game for the Kings, including getting his first win with the franchise. Keegan Murray contributed 19 points. The Kings held off the comeback of the Pelicans, who closed the gap to 121-118 with 15 seconds remaining.
We've got enough guys with experience that know how to handle the ball and play. But that takes more time. I think as long as we get out in transition, get easier shots, and take what the defense is giving us, not make it hard, it's gonna help.
