The heats are sitting at the bottom of the BBL table with one win in four games so far this season. Their solitary win came against Adelaide on the 23rd of December. Brisbane will be looking to close out the year with a win and out of the last place. They lost their last game against Sydney Thunders by 10 wickets. The heats posted a total of 121 runs which Sydney chased down in under 12 overs. It will be a good opportunity for Brisbane to get their revenge and pride against Sydney in this game.

The Thunders have had a hot and cold season so far. They have performed exceptionally well in a few of their games but in others, they have been dreadful. They are sitting in sixth place in the table with only two wins to their name in five games. They recorded the lowest total in an innings by scoring just 15 runs in their second game against Adelaide. They lost three games on the trot before winning the game against Heats. Sydney will be looking to emulate the same performance in the reverse fixture.

The pitch favours the batsman and the team winning the toss will look to bowl first on this pitch. The heats want these two points badly to get the season on track and they will be able to display a great character to win the game. We expect it to be a high-scoring game as we have often seen at Metricon stadium.
