The Renegades ended their four-game losing run with a win over Melbourne stars in the last game. The team did fairly well in the batting putting in a score of 141 runs in their 20 overs. Marsh, Guptill and Harvey score 32 runs each to get to the target. Tom Rogers was the pick of the bowlers taking five crucial wickets giving only 16 runs contributing to a win. They won three back-to-back games in the initial phase of the competition but then went on to lose four in a row. The renegades are sitting in the fifth spot in the BBL table and looking to enter the playoff spot with a win over Hurricanes.

Martin Guptill, Sam Harper (wk), Jake Fraser-McGurk, Aaron Finch (c), Jon Wells, Mackenzie Harvey, Will Sutherland, Akeal Hosein, Tom Rogers, Kane Richardson, Mujeeb ur Rahman

The Hurricanes suffered a heart-breaking seven-wicket defeat in their most recent fixture against Adelaide Strikers. They put up 229 runs on the board with the help of the fifties from Ben McDermott, Caleb Jewell and Crawley but were not able to defend it due to poor performance by their bowlers. Striker's Matt Short ton did not help the cause either. The Hurricanes will look to bounce back after the defeat and bowl to their strengths to get a victory in this crucial game.

D'Arcy Short, Ben McDermott, Matthew Wade (c & wk), Caleb Jewell, Tim David, Asif Ali, Mitchell Owen, Faheem Ashraf, Nathan Ellis, Patrick Dooley, Riley Meredith

The pitch will be lively and will assist the pacers. The pacers can benefit from this greatly if they bowl in the right areas. The batters will take the charge against slower bowlers in the middle overs. The teams will be looking to bat first and put a decent total on the board. Melbourne Renegades have bounced back from the rough patch and they are expected to win the game. Expect a high-scoring game in BBL once again.
