Ana, Flavia, Carlos, Cara, Lisa, and Juan Carlos among tennis HOF nominees

Ana Ivanovic, Flavia Pennetta, Carlos Moya, Cara Black, Lisa Raymond, and Juan Carlos Ferrero are among the six nominees for the tennis Hall of fame this year. Here is a brief profile of each player:

Ana Ivanovic: Serbian Ana played at a pro-level from 2003 to 2016 and won the French Open in 2008. She also reached the finals of the Australian Open in 2008. She finished with a singles record of 480-225 during her pro career.

Flavia Pennetta: Italy’s Flavia won Australian Open in 2011. She also reached the Finals of the US Open twice, in 2005 and 2014. Her singles record reads as 393-243.

Carlos Moya: Spanish Moya played at a professional level from 1995-2010. He won the French Open in 1998. The athlete also reached the 1997 Australian Open finals. He finished with a singles record of 575-319.

Cara Black: Zimbabwe’s Cara Black career spanned from 1998 to 2015. She reached the fourth round of the French Open in 2001. Her singles career record is 312-241 and had one WTA and 6 ITF titles. However, she registered doubles victories, which include three Wimbledon, a French Open, Australian Open, and US Open titles.

Lisa Raymond: USA’s Lisa Raymond turned pro in 1989 and played till 2015; having a whopping 26 years career. Her major success came in the doubles, where she won the US open twice while winning the Australian Open, French Open, and US Open thrice.

Juan Carlos Ferrero: Spain’s Juan’s pro career lasted from 1998 to 2012. He won the French Open in 2003 and reached US Open Finals in 2003. He won 479 pro games.
