19-year-old Athing bagged the gold medal in 800m event during the Olympics. Athing added another gold to USA’s medal tally and it was the first time since 1968 that an American woman came on top in 800m.
Mu completed the race in 1:55:21 minutes while silver medalist Keely Hodgkinson covered it in 1:55:88 minutes. USA also claimed the bronze medal in the event as Raevyn Roger came third in the final race.
