CNN reported that American basketball player Brittney Griner was released from a Russian prison and exchanged for Russian businessman Viktor Bout, who was serving time in an American prison.
The American woman had previously been sentenced to nine years in a medium-security penal colony for attempting to smuggle banned substances.
