BCCI postpones Ranji Trophy to Fifth January

The Board of Control for Cricket in India(BCCI) has decided to postpone its First-Class Domestic tournament Ranji Trophy from sixteen November to five January. The move has taken into account the practise time the squads need for the red-ball cricket leg as subsequent season didn’t occur due to the Coronavirus pandemic.

The limited overs competition is going to be conducted before the First Class fixtures as T20’s Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy and 50 overs’ Vijay Hazare Trophy are going to be held from October to December. Meanwhile, the women’s one-day competition is going to take place from October 20.
