Former undisputed super-middleweight champion Saul "Canelo" Alvarez spoke about his loss to Terence Crawford at the boxing card held on September 14 in Las Vegas.
I'm not here by coincidence. Canelo is a great champion. I have to take my hat off to him, he's a strong competitor and I have nothing but respect for him. He fought like a champion. I feel great to share the ring with great fighters like him. If we do it again then it'll be great. I already accomplished a lot in boxing. My legacy is already there and I like taking risks because I love boxing.
Recall that Terence Crawford defeated Canelo after 12 rounds by unanimous decision.
Alvarez last fought William Scull in May of this year, a bout that ended in Saul’s favor by unanimous decision. His record stands at 63 wins (39 by knockout), three losses and two draws.
Crawford’s most recent fight was against Israil Madrimov in August 2024, a match he also won by unanimous decision. He is unbeaten with 42 wins (31 by knockout) and no losses.
