
Mexican boxer Saul "Canelo" Alvarez, the world champion in the WBA, WBC, and WBO super middleweight categories, will face off against the IBF title holder, Cuban William Skull. This announcement was made by Saudi Arabia's Minister of Entertainment, Turki Alalshikh, on his social media accounts.
The fight will headline a boxing event scheduled for May 3 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Alvarez last entered the ring in September 2024, where he achieved a victory over Edgar Berlanga by unanimous decision. His professional record boasts 62 wins (39 by knockout), two losses, and two draws.
Skull secured a unanimous decision victory against Vladimir Shishkin in October 2024 to claim the vacant IBF super middleweight title. He holds an impressive record of 23 wins (nine by knockout) with no losses.
