IBO middleweight champion Chris Eubank Jr. has been fined £100,000 for an incident involving a chicken egg during a stare-down with Conor Benn. Their fight is scheduled for April 26 in London.
During the traditional face-off, Eubank smashed an egg on his opponent's face, leading to a scuffle between the boxers and their teams, so security had to intervene.
Eubank last fought against Kamil Szeremeta in October 2024, winning by knockout in the seventh round and claiming the vacant IBO middleweight title. His record now stands at 34 wins (25 by knockout) and three losses.
Benn was last in the ring against Peter Dobson in February 2024. That fight went the distance and ended with Benn winning by unanimous decision. His record is 23 wins (14 by knockout) with no losses.
