Naoya Inoue, the undisputed world champion in the super bantamweight division and former holder of all titles in the bantamweight category, has stated that he does not plan to continue his career above the featherweight division.
Naoya Inoue quoted by The Ring
I’m not interested in going any higher. If I were 170 cm tall, it would be different. But there is a limit to how much I can build frame-wise. Even at junior featherweight, I’m building muscle one by one, building up my physique and taking on the challenge. I haven’t even tried featherweight yet, so I can’t think about going higher than that.
Inoue last stepped into the ring in May 2025, where he achieved a victory over Ramon Cardenas by technical knockout in the eighth round.
He made his professional debut against Crison Omayao and won the match by knockout in the fourth round. His record stands at 30 wins (27 by knockout) with no losses.
