Former world champion in the light heavyweight division, American boxer Joe Smith Jr. has postponed his return to the ring from February 13 to March 22 due to illness.
Joe DeGuardia, CEO of Star Boxing, quoted by BoxingScene
Unfortunately, Joe Smith Jr. has the flu, which has progressed to pneumonia, so we’ve moved the event date. We wish him a full and speedy recovery and look forward to his main fight against Devonte Williams.
Smith’s last fight was against Gilberto Ramirez in October 2023. That match went the full distance, resulting in a unanimous decision loss for Joe. His professional boxing record stands at 28 wins (22 by knockout) and five losses.
