Matchroom Boxing head Eddie Hearn shared the story of how ex-Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney often asks to arrange a fight for him when he is intoxicated.

Could any footballers go into it? Rooney can fight, I’ve spoken to Wayne. When Wayne has a drink, he’ll message me and he’ll start going, ‘I’ll fight him and I’ll fight him,’ and I get excited. But Wayne can fight.
Rooney played for England for 15 years (2003-2018) and for Manchester United for 13 years (2004-2017). The player played for Derby in 2020-2021 to become their manager later. The English forward scored seven goals in 36 games for the team.
