World Boxing Council (WBC) President Mauricio Sulaiman commented on the statement made by the American Terence Crawford after he was stripped of the organization's super middleweight title. Crawford had previously stated that the belt "means nothing."
Crawford was stripped of the WBC championship title after refusing to pay sanctioning fees. According to the boxer, he was being charged $400,000.
Sulaiman said in a video published on The Ring magazine's account:
It’s a decision that he took. It’s a decision that the WBC took. There’s no hard feelings other than to wish him success. And may God bless him both in and outside the ring.
Crawford last stepped into the ring against Saul Alvarez in September of this year. Terence won that fight by unanimous decision and became the undisputed super middleweight world champion. He holds a record of 42 wins (31 by knockout) and zero losses.
