Bob Arum, the promoter for WBO world champion Teofimo Lopez in the light welterweight division, announced that his client has received an offer from Turki Alalshikh, the chairman of the Saudi Arabian General Entertainment Authority, for three fights.
Bob Arum for Fight Hype
The Saudis have come to us and they’ve talked about making a three-fight deal with Teofimo which we like very much, and now the ball’s in Teofimo’s court to get his approval. I’ll be back in Vegas on Saturday and I’ll be contacting Teofimo and his people and we’ll see where it goes from there.
Lopez last stepped into the ring against Steve Claggett in June 2024. This fight went the full distance and ended in Teofimo's favor by unanimous decision. He now holds a record of 21 wins (13 by knockout) and one loss.
