Usyk Named Fighter of the Year by BWAA

Oleksandr Usyk, the world champion in the heavyweight division holding titles from WBA, WBC, WBO, and IBO, has been named the Fighter of the Year for 2024 by the Boxing Writers Association of America (BWAA).

Usyk's last fight took place against Tyson Fury in December 2024 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Oleksandr won that match by unanimous decision, successfully defending his WBA, WBC, WBO, and IBO heavyweight titles.

Usyk boasts a record of 23 wins, including 14 by knockout, with no losses since turning professional in 2013.
