Carissa Moore wins first ever Olympics Gold in women's Surfing

USA’s Carissa Moore created history by winning the first ever gold medal in the Surfing event of the Olympics. She edged out Bianca Buitendag of South Africa to get first place.

She beat the silver medalist Bianca by posting a score of 14.93- 8.46. Amuro Tsuzuki from Japan won the bronze medal after getting beaten by Carissa Moore.
