Denmark cyclists ends Great Britain's dominance in men's team pursuit

Danish cyclists have dethroned Great Britain in men’s team pursuit in a controversial finish. The contest already had a controversial build-up as there were allegations that the Danish cycling team was using illegal equipment.

The controversy reached its peak when Danish cyclist Frederik Madsen and Britain’s Charlie Tanflied got involved in a crash. The Englishmen had won all the men’s team pursuit events in the Olympics prior to the loss against Denmark.
