England women's football captain Steph Houghton out of qualifiers

Manchester City Centre back and English football team’s captain Steph Houghton has been ruled out of the ongoing Women’s World Cup Qualifiers after picking up an ankle injury. The injury occurred during the team’s final practice session before the game in Southampton versus North Macedonia. Defender Leah Williamson is going to undertake captaincy duties in her stead. Steph has netted one goal during the WSL season.
