Tottenham Hotspurs had a shocker of a game as they got run over by Crystal Palace three-nil. The first half finished without any goal but a red card to Japhet Tanganga at the fifty-eight minute reduced Tottenham to a ten-men lineup and Crystal Palace scored three goals in the last 15 minutes or so, taking full advantage of the short-handed Hotspurs.

The Hotspurs’ offense and defense derailed when Japhet Tanganga committed his second foul at the fifty-eight-minute mark. To make the matters worse, Ben Davies got caught on the VAR with a handball giving Crystal Palace a penalty kick. Wilfried Zala converted the penalty to give his team a lift and the new signee Odsonne Edouard nailed a goal for Crystal Palace at the eighty-four-minute mark. Then Edouard put salt on the wound two minutes into the stoppage time as he crunched home another goal from the center of the box. Hotspurs came into the game on a three-game winning streak and obtaining three clean sheets but Crystal Palace poured in three against them in a single encounter.
