Motorsport executive Christian Horner has officially left Red Bull, Planet F1 reports. The parties had earlier reached a financial settlement to finalize his departure at least two months after his suspension from duties.
The settlement is reported to be worth $100 million. Horner had led Red Bull since 2005, guiding the team to eight Drivers’ Championships and six Constructors’ titles. He was suspended from his roles as chief executive and team principal following the British Grand Prix.
On September 21, the main race of the 17th round, the Azerbaijan Grand Prix, ran for 51 laps. Max Verstappen (Red Bull) finished first, George Russell (Mercedes) took second place, and Carlos Sainz (Williams) secured third place.
