Sources report that the 26-year-old son of seven-time world champion Michael Schumacher, known as “the Red Baron," is negotiating with the American team Cadillac Formula 1 Team, which is set to debut in the World Championship for the 2026 season. Recently, Schumacher Jr. had a meeting with team principal Mario Andretti and reportedly made a positive impression on the official.
On April 15, Blick reported that one of the candidates for the main driver position is also Mexican racer Sergio Perez, who raced for Oracle Red Bull Racing from 2021 to 2024.
Earlier, on March 8, Schumacher Jr. confirmed in an interview with Racingnews365 his desire to become a Formula 1 driver for a team in 2026.
