
In the early hours of Wednesday, November 19, three more participants for the 2026 World Cup were confirmed: the national teams of Curacao, Panama, and Haiti.
The upcoming World Cup will feature 48 national teams – the first time in history that so many teams will take part in the global tournament.
Currently, 42 of the 48 participants for the 2026 World Cup are known:
USA, Canada, Mexico, Japan, New Zealand, Iran, Argentina, Uzbekistan, South Korea, Jordan, Australia, Brazil, Ecuador, Uruguay, Colombia, Paraguay, Morocco, Tunisia, Egypt, Algeria, Ghana, Cape Verde, South Africa, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, England, Senegal, Ivory Coast, France, Croatia, Norway, Portugal, Germany, Netherlands, Switzerland, Spain, Scotland, Austria, Belgium, Curacao, Panama, and Haiti.
It is noted that six more spots for the North American World Cup remain to be claimed.
The final part of the 2026 World Cup will take place from June 11 to July 19 in the USA, Canada, and Mexico.
