
Sports brand Adidas has unveiled the official ball for the playoffs and final of the UEFA Champions League for the 2024/25 season. The tournament final will take place on May 31, 2025, at the Allianz Arena in Munich, Germany.
The first knockout matches for advancing to the Round of 16 of the UEFA Champions League will be held on February 11 and 12.
Teams finishing in the ninth to 16th positions in the group stage (seeded) will compete against clubs finishing in the 17th to 24th positions (unseeded).
The return knockout matches for the seeded teams will be held at their home stadiums. Eight winners from the knockout matches will advance to the Round of 16, where they will face one of the eight best teams from the group stage, which will be seeded in the draw.
Previously, The Guardian reported that UEFA is considering the possibility of eliminating extra time in the UEFA Champions League playoffs.
