Australia beats Denmark 1-0 to advance to the playoffs of the World Cup in Qatar

The national team of Australia has beaten the national team of Denmark in the third round of the group stage match of the World Cup in Qatar.

The meeting was held on December 30 and ended with a score of 1-0 in favor of the Australians. The only goal was scored in the second half. In the 60th minute striker Matthew Leckie got on the scoresheet. The goal was assisted by midfielder Riley McGree.

The Australian team scored six points to take second place in Group D and qualify for the World Cup 2022 playoffs. The Danes were last in the quartet with one point.
