Barcelona president Joan Laporta has commented on the departure of striker Lionel Messi, who transferred to PSG in the summer of 2021 on a free agent basis.
The 35-year-old Argentine played for the Catalans from 2005 to 2021. He played a total of 778 games, scored 672 goals and made 303 assists.

Messi has 29 matches for PSG in all competitions this season, with 18 goals and 16 assists.
Transfermarkt portal estimates the market value of the player at €50 million. Messi's contract with Paris is valid until the summer of 2023.
