Spanish goalkeeper Joan Garcia has joined FC Barcelona, as announced on the club's official website. The Catalans exercised a buyout option, paying 25 million euros for the player and covering additional costs.
On Friday, Garcia will sign a contract lasting six years, until June 30, 2031. The signing ceremony will take place at the club's office in a private setting.
In the past season, the 24-year-old goalkeeper played 38 matches for Espanyol in La Liga. According to Transfermarkt, his market value is also estimated at 25 million euros.
