Barcelona forward Lamine Yamal continues to experience discomfort in his groin area, but the club is currently not planning to perform surgery. This is reported by Diario Sport.
Yamal and the Blaugrana medical staff have decided against surgical intervention, although the problem is not completely resolved, the source reports. It is noted that Lamine underwent external consultations to assess how much surgery would help him. He decided to forego it and continue playing despite the discomfort.
If discomfort continues in next few weeks, however, then possibility of surgery would start to be analysed by Lamine, his camp and Barça.
Yamal is a product of the Barcelona youth academy and has been playing for the senior team since 2023. In the 2025-26 La Liga season, he has played six matches, scoring two goals and providing four assists.
After 10 rounds of the current La Liga season, Barcelona sit in second place in the table with 22 points. In the 11th round, the Catalans will face Elche on November 2 at 20:30 GMT+3.
